Electronic Posters
In 2008 the XXII International Congress of the Transplantation Society will be holding oral presentations listed inside the scientific program, mini-oral presentations, electronic posters and traditional poster board presentations. Upon submission authors will have the option to submit and abstract for consideration for an oral presentation or a mini-oral presentation for which authors will be asked to prepare 3-5 powerpoint slides for a 5 minute presentation. Or authors can submit an abstract for consideration of either an electronic poster view on computer terminals throughout the Congress venue or a traditional poster board presentation or both.
Video presentation of Surgery Techniques
Opportunity exists to present video, with or with out voiceover and of up to 10 minutes duration, of surgical or related techniques used in any aspect of clinical transplantation or in surgical research models. They will be presented in dedicated sessions during the scientific program in the presence of the contributing surgeon/researcher. Each presentation will be followed by question time.
Video selection will initially be based on a submitted written description of the video content on the same abstract form used for oral and poster submission and with the same closing date. An estimated length of the video in minutes is requested in the abstract.
If the DVD has already been completed prior to abstract deadline, it can be also be forwarded by post in addition to the written abstract for review. This may influence selection by the abstract review panel. Contributors of successful abstracts will be notified at the same time as the oral and poster presenters. Those notified will be expected to forward their complete DVD by mail to the Congress office in Sydney by June 30, 2008.
