DEADLINE: 11 July 2008
Transplantation Proceedings is pleased to announce we will once again receive manuscripts for consideration for publication in conjunction with the 2008 International Congress of the Transplantation Society to be held in Sydney, Australia August 10-14, 2008. Recognizing the need for rapid communication of new information, Transplantation Proceedings will publish a special issue of Congress Proceedings in December 2008. To achieve timely publication of this issue, it will be necessary to have all manuscripts submitted prior to the close of the meeting. Authors of manuscripts received by July 11, 2008 will be offered the opportunity for one revision with the possibility of inclusion in the December 2008 issue. Those contributions received after July 11, 2008 will not have this option. Manuscripts received after the close of the meeting will not be considered for publication in the dedicated issue, December 2008, but instead will be considered for inclusion in the June 2009 Original Works Issue.
Transplantation Proceedings is a peer reviewed journal. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two members of our Editorial Review Board. You will be notified by email when there is activity on your manuscript and you may track the review process electronically.
In order to provide a smooth, streamlined, and efficient manuscript submission process, we will again utilize Editorial Manager, which is also our primary method to receive and review all original manuscripts. Please visit http://transproc.edmgr.com. Please log in if you are already registered with a user name and password. If you are not registered, please click on “register” and complete the required information to log in. Once you are logged into the system, you may upload your manuscript including abstract, text and tables/figures. Please review the SPECIAL GUIDELINES – Transplantation Society which are available at http://www.transplantation-proceedings.org as well as on Editorial Manager at http://transproc.edmgr.com. Transplantation Proceedings staff will once again be on site in Sydney to provide assistance. Please be aware that during the submission process you will be asked to select an Article Type. It is important that you select “International Transplantation Society Congress 2008” as the article type. Selecting “New Clinical Submission” will result in your manuscript being processed as an original work not associated with the meeting. In addition, please begin the title of your manuscript with the heading “ITSC08”. No complimentary pages will be provided for this meeting. The charges generated from those pages usually granted as complimentary will be donated to The Society.
