Congress Opens
Participation is open to all persons interested in the field of Transplantation. Those who wish to attend the Congress should complete the online form. Website registration is strongly encouraged. www.transplantation2008.org
For those without access to the internet, you may fill in the Registration Form and return it to the Congress
Managers. Each registrant must fill in a separate form. A clean photocopy of the form will be accepted, or additional
forms can be obtained from the Congress Managers. Remember to send your completed registration form and the
payment of your fees by AIRMAIL.
Please note that all persons intending to attend the Congress must register, including invited speakers, oral and
poster presenters, chairpersons. Please read through this booklet carefully before you complete your form.

The registration fee entitles all delegates to the following: All congress sessions, abstract & program book, Opening Ceremony, Welcome Reception, Dinner at the Rocks, exhibition entry, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, satchel and delegate list.
Accompanying person’s fee includes Opening Ceremony, Welcome Reception and Dinner at the Rocks
Post Graduate Weekend registration includes: Post Graduate Weekend program, morning and afternoon tea.
There is a separate registration fee for the Postgraduate Weekend Courses and for each Satellite Meeting.
Young Investigator Awards
Astellas Pharma has funded 10 Awards for Young
Investigators to assist travel and registration costs.
These will be awarded to the 10 top scored abstracts
whose first author applies for an award and who is
under the age of 35yrs. You will need to tick the box on
the abstract submission and registration forms if you
are eligible.
The Transplantation Society and The Transplantation
Society of Australian and New Zealand
will also
provide
a limited number of travel awards to younger members
of those societies. You will need to
tick the box on the
abstract submission and registration forms if you
are eligible.
Accompanying Persons
Accompanying Persons are spouses and partners of Full Registrants who have registered as an Accompanying Person on a Delegate's Registration Form and paid the applicable fee.
Associate Registration
An Associate must be an Associate member of TTS, a member of ATCA or the Transplant Nurses Association and provide evidence of current membership or provide other evidence that they are employed as a transplant coordinator or transplant nurse when they submit your registration form. Acceptance of Associate registration status is at the sole discretion of the Local Organising Committee.
Student Registration
A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. Please Note: A copy of your student identification card or letter from your supervisor is required when you submit your registration form.
Payment of Fees
NOTE: Registrations will not be processed or
confirmed until payment in full is received.

Payment may be made by cheque or credit card.
Mastercard, Visa and Diners International are the
only credit cards accepted at the XXII International
Congress of The Transplantation Society. Please
note all transactions by credit card will appear on your
statement as payment to The Meeting Planners.
Cheques should be made payable to TTS 2008. Your
name and full address should be typed or printed
clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments
from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian
Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency
will be accepted
International
Payments from overseas must be made by credit card
or bank cheque in Australian Dollars only, drawn on an
Australian Bank. Your name and full address should be
typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. You
may not pay your fees by direct transfer.
Acknowledgements
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via
email or post with confirmation of your requirements
according to your registration form. Your registration
will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not
accompany your form.
You will not receive any further publications before the
Congress. Your letter of acknowledgment will include
any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the
Congress. At the Congress you will receive the final
program, the book of published abstracts and
Congress documentation.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Registration cancellations must be notified to the
Congress Office in writing by 9 July 2008. Cancellations
after this date will not be accepted (as per Committee
policy) however delegates may transfer their
registration to another person. It is recommended that
you keep a copy of the registration form. By submitting
the registration form you agree to the terms of the
cancellation policy.
Registration Fee's - cancellations made:
- Before 13 May 2008 will incur an A$200.00 cancellation fee.
- Before 2 July 2008 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
- After 9 July 2008 there will be no refund.
Accommodation:
- Deposit must be paid at time of booking to guarantee reservation
- Deposit is non-refundable at 9 July 2008
Social:
- Payments are non-refundable at 9 July 2008
Tours:
- Payments are non-refundable at 9 July 2008
Entrance to Congress
Each member of the Congress will receive a name
badge on registration. The badge will be your official
pass and must be worn to obtain entry to all sessions
and to social functions.
Accreditation
The Transplantation Society is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
to provide Continuing Medical Education for Physicians.
Registration and Tours Desk
The Registration Desk will be located in the Promenade
foyer on the Ground level of the Sydney Convention and
Exhibition Centre and will be operating as follows:

The Congress Managers will be on-site for enquiries at
other times. A Tours Desk will operate
during Congress hours.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.
It is strongly recommended that at the time you register
for the Congress and book your travel you take out
an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should
include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your
participation in the Congress, or through cancellation
of the Congress, loss of international/domestic air fares
through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies
through cancellation for any reason including airline
or related services strikes within Australia, failure to
utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline
delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical
expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss
or damage to personal property, additional expenses
and repatriation should travel arrangements have to
be altered. The Congress managers cannot take any
responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their
own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in
your country of origin.
The Trade Exhibition
A comprehensive Trade Exhibition will run concurrently
with the Congress.
The Exhibition will provide delegates and exhibitors
with excellent opportunities to network in a favorable
environment that provides a central and energized
meeting place for all participants.

Private Touring/Hospitality Arrangements
Should you have any specialised group requirements
for private touring, transportation or hospitality services
other than those organised for the official program,
please contact the Congress Managers who would be
