Congress Opens
The following Scholarships are being offered for the XXII International Congress of The Transplantation Society 2008.
TTS Emerging Economies Scholarships (1,000 Aus Dollars)
To be considered for an Emerging Economies Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
- PREFERENCE will be given to young investigators from emerging economies (list)
- Be Less than 35 years of age
- Have a supporting letter from supervisor or learning institution.
- Accepted no funding from commercial sources
- Submit an Abstract which is accepted in the main Congress program and be listed as the presenting author
- Abstract scores will be used to determine successful candidates
Applications must be emailed to tts2008@transplantation-soc.org The subject line of the email must state “TTS Scholarship and your ABSTRACT Number.”
The content of the email must include your full name and institution and state that you have no commercial funding support.
Enclose your abstract including authors, title, institution and text.
Attach your supporting letter from your supervisor or institution.
Successful applicants will be notified before June 1st.
ASTELLAS Young Investigator Awards (2,500 US dollars)
Astellas Pharma will be sponsoring 10 awards for Young Investigators to assist them with travel and registration costs. These will be awarded to the top 10 scored abstracts whose first author applies for the award and who is under the age of 35yrs. Applicants need to tick the box on the abstract submission and registration forms to be eligible.
Successful applicants will be notified before July 15th.
WYETH new Key Opinion Leaders Awards (3,500 US Dollars)
Wyeth will sponsor three awards to go to the top three ranked abstracts from individuals who have attended new Key Opinion Leaders. No applications are required since the list of attendees from the nKOL meetings in 2006-2008 will be used to find the top three ranked abstracts.
Successful applicants will be notified before July 15th.
TSANZ Awards (details from TSANZ)
The Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand will also provide a limited number of travel awards to eligible members of TSANZ – for information go to www.tsanz.com.au or contact the TSANZ office tsanz@racp.edu.au
All Awards will be paid on site in Sydney and only to the individual awarded on production of a government issued photographic identification such as driver’s licence or passport.
