Dr. Michael G. Ison
Michael G. Ison, MD MS completed medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and then undertook his Internal Medicine Residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. He then obtained his Master of Science in Health Evaluation Sciences while conducting his Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Virginia.
During his Fellowship, he did his initial work with influenza and other respiratory viruses in critically ill and immunocompromised patients as a part of Dr. Frederick Hayden's research group. He did additional training in Transplant Infectious Diseases with Jay Fishman's group at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
He has continued focusing on respiratory viral infections in immunocompromised patients in his current position with the Transplant & Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases Service at Northwestern University.
Daniel C. Brennan, MD, FACP
Daniel C. Brennan, MD, Professor of Medicine and Director of Transplant Nephrology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. His research interests are viral infections, induction immunosuppression therapy, pharmacoeconomic and outcome research in renal transplantation, and islet transplantation. He has written more than 165 original publications and has contributed to several textbooks in these clinical areas.
